Tommy Hilfiger to open large new store at Manchester Arndale

Luxury fashion brand Tommy Hilfiger is to open large new store in what is a huge boost for one of Manchester's biggest shopping centres.

The 3,300sq ft shop will open at the Arndale later this week, with the move hoped to help the city "retain its status as the home of leading fashion brands".

Colin Flinn, non-executive director of the centre, said he was "delighted" to see shoppers returning to the centre, and that the deal comes off the back of a number of recent lettings.

It comes after fashion brands such as Kurt Geiger and sister company Carvela announced a combined 4,642 sq ft to be taken in the city centre.

Mr Flinn said: “Our goal is to ensure that Manchester Arndale continues to retain its status as the home of leading fashion brands so that it remains an exciting and progressive place for all of our customers to visit.

"The arrival of Tommy Hilfiger helps strengthens our position as the premier shopping destination in the North West, especially coming off the back of recent lettings to a number of other popular high-end retail brands.

“As we continue to move out of the pandemic, we are delighted to see shoppers returning to Manchester Arndale.

"We look forward to sharing more exciting news about other new occupiers in the months to come as we continue to widen our base of occupiers, bringing in a diverse set of retailers alongside leisure and lifestyle operators, supported by a wide-ranging food and beverage offer.”

Owners said the new store will offer the brand's Fall 2021 range of men's and women's apparel, footwear, and accessories inspired by the exploration of nature.
