Tommy Fury's new trainer Sugar Hill Steward has admitted the young fighter is 'upset' by the jibes he has received for his celebrity breakthrough.
The Manchester fighter will go toe-to-toe with Jake Paul in a fiercely-anticipated bout in Florida next month, which is Fury's second appearance in the United States.
Fury is 7-0 in his fighting career thus far but is well-established in the celebrity road, having finished second in Love Island alongside partner Molly-Mae Hague.
His lifestyle has led to accusations that he isn't fully-focused on boxing but those suggestions have been wiped aside by Steward.
"I think Tommy is very serious about the sport. We joke around a little bit but he always gets upset when we talk about other career moves he is involved in," he told a press conference.
"He does really want to box, he is taking this fight here very seriously and boxing is in his blood.
"It is also in his culture too, when I spend time with Tyson and his family in England the first thing they do with the kids is say 'can he fight'? So it is just in their family and in their blood."
Fury was due to be trained by Steward, Tyson Fury's head coach, in Las Vegas but returned to the UK due to a family emergency.
He has been taken under the wing of Tyson, while his father John Fury will also be more involved in preparation for the fight than initially planned.
However, his father will not be able to travel to the United States due to visa issues - having also stayed behind for the victory against Anthony Taylor earlier this year.
