Tommy Fury told he can seal dream Jake Paul fight with Tyron Woodley showdown

Tommy Fury has been told a showdown with Tyron Woodley could open the door for the fight he wants against Jake Paul.

Fury was due to go toe-to-toe with Paul in Florida last month but withdrew from the bout just weeks before the fight date due to a broken rib.

That saw Woodley step-up for a rematch against Paul, where he was knocked out, and Fury has been unable to secure a reschedule for his fight with the Youtuber-turned-boxer - who has made it clear he's no longer interested in facing him.

UFC legend Chael Sonnen believes there could be an avenue towards seeing a reschedule of that fight, however, if Fury was to take a clash against Woodley.

"You wanna know a fight that would work throw Tommy Fury in there with Tyron Woodley," he told his YouTube channel.

"You wanna know a match that would work, you put them in there that could even be a co main-event on some card. But you can add the caveat that Jake will be on the front row."

However, he also expressed his belief that the Manchester fighter would not be able to follow in Paul's steps by securing a win against Woodley.

"If Tommy can show that he can handle himself with Tyron, then Tommy will belong in there with Jake afterwards. The problem with doing that is that Tommy can't beat Tyron Woodley.

"Tommy would not beat Tyron and if Tommy wouldn't show up to face Jake because of the pressures that came with that, then it's going to be even more pressure to fight a guy who Jake has beaten twice. And he wouldn't show up for that trust me!

"Tommy has a very strong last name but the boxing community does not accept him as one of theirs. They will bury this fight within the press and will not even give these guys the opportunity."
