Tommy Fury jokes it's 'nice to see Maura again' after awkward Love Island drama

Love Island 's Tommy Fury made a hilarious dig at fellow contestant Maura Higgins on The Boxer & the Ballroom Dancer.

The brand new TV show gave fans a glimpse at Tommy and Curtis Pritchard 's friendship outside the villa as they take on each other's roles.

Maura is now in a loved-up relationship with Curtis, while Tommy is dating influencer Molly-Mae Hague.

On the show, the four of them sat down for a cosy catch-up meal after accumulating busy schedules and discussed the boys' upcoming competitions.

The double date seemed to go very well at first, but in a VT Tommy told Curtis: "We had a great time on a double date with the girls knocking a few tequila back."

"It was lovely to see Maura again," he added as he raised his eyebrows and laughed, referring to their awkward flirting in the villa.

Curtis started laughing before the boxer added: "Haven't seen Maura in a while, so it was nice to catch-up with Curtis and Maura as a couple."

The pair then made hilarious noises and couldn't stop giggling for a moment until Curtis cheekily added: "Troublemaker! No it was nice, it was a good double date to be fair - Molly was looking fine."

Tommy then jokingly shouted: "Too far!"
