Tommy Fury ignores Jake Paul fight offer in favour of date with girlfriend

Tommy Fury did not respond to Jake Paul's latest fight offer - instead documenting his date night with partner Molly-Mae Hague on social media.

The British star has been in talks to stage a clash with YouTube star Paul at the third attempt after their fight collapsed twice. He recently fought in an exhibition clash with Rolly Lambert which was expected to set up the bout, with the pair having feuded ringside after the final bell.

Fury and Paul have gone back and forth on social media over a potential clash, with the latter making a new offer on Twitter last night, writing: "Tommy Fury, the contract is with your team. Seven figures. Six times what you made in your last fight. You signing right?"

However, the former Love Islander failed to respond to the call and instead posted a picture of himself and partner Hague with the caption "date night".

The pair were hanging out at a cinema, where Fury posted a further image of Hague with the caption "glowing" before signing off without any response to Paul's new offer. The pair have been scheduled to meet on two previous occasions, with a bout collapsing in December last year after Fury was forced to withdraw with a broken rib.

A renewed fight had been agreed for August this year, but Fury was unable to travel to the US, so the fight was shelved for a second time. Despite suggesting he would never give Fury another chance, Paul hinted that an agreement had been reached for February but an official contract has yet to be signed.

Both men have called for their rival to sign the paperwork, with Paul even having been made an offer by Fury's recent promoter, Global Titans, which he rejected. It is expected that a fight will be staged in the Middle East or UK, with Fury still unable to travel stateside to accept any clash with Paul.

Who wins if the pair meet - Jake Paul or Tommy Fury? Let us know in the comments section below.

However, it may have been Fury's dad John who was responsible for his son's lack of response on social media, having suggested to his son to abandon tweets aimed by Paul and move on. “You could offer him [Paul] a million dollars, he doesn’t want to fight Tommy," Fury Sr told Mirror Fighting. "He just wants to wear the Fury name out from his brand. I’ve said to Tommy, ‘We are going to move on, don’t do any more tweets or anything else’.

"There is other big people we can talk to, they need to give Tommy what he is worth. He [Paul] is the A-side to absolutely jack s***. He is A-side to jumping off bridges and filming daft stuff for viewing figures. Listen, I'm afraid it is going to be the fight that never happens. He is a YouTuber, he has made his money from other avenues. Whatever it is with gloves on, we are in the lead because we are pugilists."
