Tommy Fury and Jake Paul could be one step closer to throwing punches at each other in a professional manner following months on online fighting.
The 22-year-old Love Island star has been involved in a bitter feud with 24-year-old American YouTube star Jake – with even Tommy’s older brother Tyson, 33, and girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague getting caught in the crosshairs.
It could even be argued that Tommy and Jake’s disagreements stem from a meme shared by Tyson back in March this year as he enthusiastically supported his brother following a boxing win against Scott Williams in London.
At the time, Tommy and Scott competed on the same night as fellow stars including Canelo Alvarez – with Tommy victorious on his night.

Taking to Twitter, Tyson spotlighted his brother’s success – and posted a screen grab of ‘viewing figures’ that suggested Tommy’s fight had been watched by 1.9 million viewers while all the other matches barely broke 100,000 views.
However, the screen grab was a fake – with Jake Paul then mocking Tyson for sharing the fraudulent information.
In response, Tyson then dared Jake to fight Tommy – and the two reality stars then became embroiled in online threats towards each other.

In May, Jake taunted Tommy by claiming 22-year-old Molly-Mae had sent him a Direct Message on Instagram.
Jake claimed Molly-Mae had messaged him in October 2018, writing: “Might be coming to America later this year and have always been a fan of your videos.
“Maybe you can show me around?!” Along with a white heart emoji and a face licking it’s lips emoji too.

Molly-Mae quickly denounced the DM, arguing it had been faked.
Reacting to the post on Twitter, she wrote: “Times must be hard when you’re having to fake a DM… photoshop is scary.”
While fans rallied to Molly-Mae’s defence as well as they pointed out the white heart emoji featured in the alleged screen grab that Jake shared online hadn’t come into existence until 2019 – three months after the Love Island star allegedly sent the message.
Tensions between Tommy and Jake have failed to settle in the intervening months, and this month the pair were involved in a backstage spat in America.
Over the final weekend of August, Jake faced Tyron Woodley in a match, where the YouTube star was victorious – while Tommy won in his own fight against Anthony Taylor.

Jake and Tommy came face-to-face for the first time at the event – with the Love Island star claiming they almost came to blows.
He told TalkSport he didn’t think highly of Jake’s boxing ring abilities, saying: “They ain’t fighters.
“I mean I haven’t watched it back but I was ready to throw hands there and then. This man is all in front of the cameras but he doesn’t understand that me and my team will go – now.

“We don’t care about how many of you there are, we’ll get stuck in. So he can count his blessings in the hallway really.
“Forty of his security team broke it up because the man can’t fight, the man can’t fight at all. Imagine him in a street fight? Please, he wouldn’t last three seconds.
“If he didn’t have his security team there with him, he wouldn’t have even… he would have walked straight past me.
“Jake Paul hasn’t got nothing inside him and I see that in that corridor right then.
“There was a moment in that corridor right then when everything was going off between his security, my team and his team and it was just me and him, and I looked dead into his soul. And when them cameras are not around, he doesn’t want to know.
“Let’s be honest, if he really wanted to fight me, I’d have been in that ring at the end of the fight, through the ropes, let’s go. There’s no return.

“But he didn’t want that. And the reason he didn’t want that is because if I was getting in there, he wouldn’t be able to go back on it. That’s why I wasn’t in the ring tonight.”
While Jake is quoted by the sports site saying: “I got into his face and I let him talk.
“I don’t have anything to say to him. At the end of the day I hired him to be here and I don’t really have any bad blood. I just said ‘yo, tell your girl to get out of my DMs.”
