Tomer Hemed to start as QPR face defensive reshuffle - predicted team vs Blackburn Rovers

John Eustace could be forced into a series of changes for this afternoon's clash with Blackburn Rovers after suffering something of a defensive injury crisis.

Queens Park Rangers could mathematically secure their Championship status with a victory at Loftus Road, but will have to do so without a number of key players.

Speaking to the QPR website , Eustace said: "Toni [Leistner] has been poorly all week, Hally [Grant Hall] is struggling with his groin and Angel [Rangel] is struggling with his calf.

“Nahki [Wells] has been playing with an injury for a long while and it is great to see his attitude and determination to play all of the time. Hopefully he’ll be fit for Friday as well.”

With that, it's expected that QPR could shuffle the pack.

Joe Lumley is expected to start in goal, while either Pawel Wszolek or Osman Kakay could come in to replace Rangel at right-back.

Darnell Furlong and Joel Lynch would be the expected partnership at the back, while Ryan Manning is expected to continue on the left in the absence of Jake Bidwell.

After such an emphatic victory over Swansea City last week, the temptation will certainly be there to keep the faith in midfield and attack, with Luke Freeman, Massimo Luongo, Josh Scowen, Jordan Cousins and the lively Bright Osayi-Samuel in the middle of the park, while Tomer Hemed deserves to keep his spot after his brace against the Swans.

Predicted QPR team to face Blackburn Rovers (4-1-4-1): Joe Lumley, Pawel Wszolek, Darnell Furlong, Joel Lynch, Ryan Manning, Massimo Luongo, Luke Freeman, Josh Scowen, Jordan Cousins, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Tomer Hemed
