Tomb Raider actor Simon Yam stabbed in stomach as attacker storms stage

Simon Yam had to be rushed to hospital after being stabbed in the stomach by a stage invader.

The actor, who starred in Tomb Raider: The Cradle Of Life, is now recovering after a crazed man attacked him on stage as he spoke at a promotional event in China.

A video quickly circulated on the Chinese social networking site Weibo of Yam speaking at the opening of a shop in Zhongshan, when a man suddenly walks up the stairs of the stage towards him and jabs the 65-year-old actor in the stomach with a knife.
