West Ham's Czech Republic star Tomas Soucek is ready for Champions League football, according to his international manager Jaroslav Silhavy.
Fortunately for Hammers fans, Silhavy believes Soucek is primed for the elite European competition and so are West Ham.
Soucek has been in superb form this season for David Moyes' team, scoring nine goals in 29 matches and cementing himself as one of the best box-to-box midfielders in the Premier League. Over the international break, Soucek has continued his high level of performances with his country.
A perfect hat-trick against Estonia got the Czech Republic's World Cup qualifying campaign off to a winning start and the midfielder played another 90 minutes for his nation as they held the world's number one ranked nation Belgium to a 1-1 draw in Prague.
In the domestic game, West Ham sit two points behind Chelsea in fourth palace and with nine matches remaining this season an unlikely Champions League spot is within reach of Moyes' team.
If the Hammers can make it, Czech Republic manager Silhavy has no doubt his midfielder Soucek will prove himself a star at Champions League level.
"Tomas plays very well in the Premier League," Silhavy said. "I am really not surprised because he is really hard working. He's already played in the Champions League for Slavia Prague and was very good but now he is even better.
"So I am convinced he can succeed in the Champions League with West Ham too."
Soucek arrived in January of last year and has instantly been a success in England, as has his fellow Czech international Vladimir Coufal.
Both men have Champions League experience with former club Slavia Prague and will be hoping to add to their appearances in the competition next season with West Ham.
There are 27 points up for grabs between now and the end of the season for West Ham. Having taken 20 points from the reverse fixtures at the start of the campaign, European football in 2021/22 has become a realistic ambition for Moyes and his squad.
The Hammers have a number of key fixtures on the horizon with Wolverhampton Wanderers first up on Monday, April 5, followed by the visits of Champions League challengers Leicester City and Chelsea, with a trip to relegation battlers Newcastle United sandwiched in-between.
If Moyes can see his team pick up nine points over those four games, Europe's elite competition will be well within sight for all at West Ham.
