Scot Tom Stoltman has been crowned the World’s Strongest Man for a second year in a row after success in Sacramento, California.
The 28-year-old from Invergordon took home the international claimed the prestigious title having after success in the final two events in the States. The stongman made history last year when he became the first ever Scot to be crowned as the Wold's Strongest Man, and his success has now allowed him to join an exclusive club of double winning champions. Stoltman is just the now the 10th competitor to win the World’s Strongest Man competition twice.
It was a family affair for Tom as his brother Luke also enjoyed success in the competition. Luke, who is known as 'The Highland Oak' finished seventh in the competition. Champion Tom gave his brother a special shout-out after claiming success, writing to social media : “I mean this is the competition I get most hyped for and most motivated for, and my training proves that.
“I don’t really like putting stuff up on social media, but coming here and mixing it with the big guys, I did that today. Big shoutout to Luke who pushes me all the way, my wife, my nutritionist, Dan the coach - what a team I’ve got. “To do it in front of these guys is unbelievable.”
Tom added that he would be going in search of a third title next year: "I’m hungry for that - six titles now. Yeah who knows what the world is going to open up to me now, so let’s see what happens.”
