Tom Rogic transfer latest as Celtic midfielder's Qatar move is thrown into doubt

Tom Rogic's Celtic departure appears to have stalled with his move to Qatar now in doubt, according to a report.

It emerged last week that the Parkhead club had accepted a £4million offer from an unnamed Qatari club for the Australian international.

The player was in negotiations over a possible move, however the deal now appears to be in jeopardy.

According to the Scottish Sun, Rogic is having second thoughts about moving to a lower-profile league, and would prefer to hold out for another option. He was due to fly to the Middle East for talks earlier this week, but that didn't happen.

Neil Lennon confirmed last week that the the club had accepted an offer for the player. He said: "Negotiations are ongoing with Tom. We have accepted a bid.

"He is not fit at the moment, he has a slight ankle problem."

Rogic has made 187 appearances since arriving at  Celtic Park  from Central Coast Mariners by in 2013, scoring 38 goals.
