Tom Rogic transfer latest as Celtic accept bid for fans favourite

Celtic have accepted a bid for playmaker Tom Rogic.

Neil Lennon has confirmed the club have received a satisfactory offer for the out-of-favour Aussie after he was linked with a move to Qatar.

But the Parkhead boss insists midfielder David Turnbull's arrival does not necessarily spell the end for Rogic as talks continue over his future.

The 27-year-old has yet to feature for Celtic for this season and is currently nursing an ankle problem.

And Lennon said; “Negotiations are ongoing with Tom. We have accepted a bid.

“He is not fit at the moment, he has a slight ankle problem, but whether he stays or goes... David Turnbull coming in doesn’t affect Tom’s role.

Lennon was forced to play Ryan Christie, who netted the equaliser in Wednesday’s 2-1 defeat, as a makeshift frontman with Albian Ajeti and Patryk Klimala not match fit.

Leigh Griffiths is continuing his rehabilitation following a calf strain but won’t be back in action until the first game after the international break at the earliest when the Hoops travel to Ross County.
