Tom Rogic post Celtic transfer rumour debunked as Neil Lennon 'dream' deemed 'not possible'

Tom Rogic will not be completing a move to reunite with Neil Lennon after leaving Celtic, according to reports.

It was reported over in Cyprus that the midfielder had jetted into the country to complete a move to Omonia Nicosia, who Lennon now manages. Rogic is out of contract and is hunting a new club after bringing an end to trophy-laden nine-year Celtic spell in May, and Balla report it would be 'a dream come true' for his former boss to work with him again.

They state though it 'cannot be possible' as the former Parkhead manager prepares his team for Europa League play-off action against Gent. Lennon said of the draw: "It's a tough team. It is positive that the first game is away from home and I hope we can get a good result to claim qualification here in Nicosia. It is still a little early, but we will analyse it in depth in the next few days."

It was the former Hoops midfielder who brought Rogic to Celtic in 2013 during his four-year stint as Parkhead manager between 2010-14.

They reunited when Lennon returned to manage the Glasgow club in 2019 and parted ways once the 10-in-a-row bid collapsed last year.

Ange Postecoglou's Hoops side started their title defence on Sunday with a 2-0 win against Aberdeen ahead of facing Ross County this Saturday.
