Tom Odell has revealed he regularly goes on stage wearing clothes given to him by fans.
The 28-year-old singer whose third album Jubilee Road entered the charts at No 5 last month, joked that admirers must think he is hard-up as they keep giving him items for his wardrobe.
But far from being offended, he often wears the clothes on tour. “My music is quite intense, so I think I have quite an intimate relationship with my fans,” he told A List.
“They often give me presents at my gigs — I get a lot of clothes. I’m like a walking Salvation Army centre.”
Odell added that he did not become a musician to be famous. He said: “I find the fame side of things quite uncomfortable. I only got into this to make albums and play live.
“As long as I can do that I’ll be happy.”
