It's played host to kings, queens and even tsars in the past, but now Chiswick House is set to welcome pub grub royalty.
Following the huge success of his Pub in the Park tour earlier this year, the Standard can exclusively reveal that chef Tom Kerridge will bring the foodie festival to London in 2019.
The event, which celebrates the country’s best pub food, will run for three days at Chiswick House from September 6-8.
During the course of the festival, Michelin-starred chefs and award-winning pubs will serve signature dishes and celebrate local culinary talent. Guests can also enjoy live music and cooking demonstrations, and pick up edible goods to take home.
The tasty extravaganza will embark on a whistle-stop tour of the UK next year visiting eight locations, starting in May in Marlow — the home of Kerridge’s two Michelin-star pub the Hand and Flowers. It will then head to Leeds, Knutsford, Bath, Warwick and Tunbridge Wells before coming to London. Things will then wrap up in St Albans.
Kerridge said: “This years Pub in the Park festivals were so much fun, I cannot wait to bring the same brilliant standard of food, class chefs, ace music and awesome vibe to eight locations across the UK next year.”
