Tom Jones has been replaced by fellow singer Ed Sheeran on Celebrity Gogglebox.
The Bad Habits singer is big pals with Tom's former telly-watching partner, Anne Marie, and will be on the Channel 4 show from this Friday, July 9.
Tom made viewers laugh their heads off with his flip phone confession and his reaction to discovering what a 'Prince Albert piercing' is, as well as his down-to-earth nature on the show.
Anne Marie, who got to know the Treforest-born star after they appeared on The Voice earlier this year, told The Sun on Sunday that Ed had now been drafted in.
“I’ve asked one of my best friends, Ed Sheeran, to join me on Gogglebox.
“I haven’t seen him in real life for so, so long and when we used to hang out, we would always watch lots of TV. So it will be like old times. I can’t wait.”
Back in June, when the show started, a source told The Sun: “Sir Tom has been on the wish-list for Gogglebox bosses for a long time. His schedule is incredibly busy but this time they have managed to secure him for filming. Everyone is hugely excited about Sir Tom coming on board.
“He will be on the sofa watching the box with Anne-Marie. They got on like a house on fire on the show and their chemistry on screen was fantastic. Gogglebox bosses think they’ll be an even funnier duo when they’re watching TV together and talking off the cuff.”
