Tom Jones discusses retirement and plan to unleash 'one more Sex Bomb'

Sir Tom Jones has opened up about his plans to keep releasing hit music as he enters his ninth decade of life – and shows no sign of retiring.

The Welsh wonder turns 80-years-old tomorrow and shows no sign of wanting to slow down despite being 15 years over the retirement age.

As he approaches his latest birthday milestone, the rock n roll legend has been reflecting on the highs of his career.

And he says he wants to release another chart topping track before he will consider hanging up the microphone.

He told The Sun: “People know I’ve done Sex Bomb, or Delilah or whatever.

“Not that I won’t do it again, there might be another Sex Bomb out there, you never know, I’m not ruling it out.

“I want to keep on singing for many years yet.

"I know my time is getting shorter because of my age, but how short it is I don’t know.

“God has been very kind to me.”

Sir Tom has enjoyed incredible success since he first appeared on the charts way back in 1965.

His huge hits include It’s Not Unusual, What’s New Pussycat?, Delilah, and She’s A Lady.

His most recent release was in 2015 with the release of his album, Long Lost Suitcase.

While he has found renewed success as a television star after becoming a judge on The Voice which he has held a seat on since 2012.
