Around 5,000 fans gathered at U.S. Bank Stadium on Friday in Minneapolis to watch Michigan State’s open practice ahead of a semifinal showdown with Texas Tech, including a happy couple who came prepared to create an amazing moment with coach Tom Izzo.
Two fans approached Izzo with a sign that read “IZZO’S HELP NEEDED! Future Spartan gender inside,” and told the coach that they are about to have a baby, but hadn’t yet learned the gender. Izzo opened the envelope from the doctor, and guard Cassius Winston joined in the celebration.
It’s a boy!
