Tom Izzo comments on health of Kyle Ahrens, Joshua Langford

Tom Izzo, who has been making some public appearance of late, particularly at the Rocket Mortgage Classic where he competed in the Area 313 celebrity golf challenge, commented today on the health of some of his key veterans on the basketball team. He had nothing but positive news about Kyle Ahrens (ankle/back) and Joshua Langford (ankle).

Ahrens, who notably went down with a gruesome sprained ankle in the NCAA Tournament has had all workout restrictions removed and is practicing ‘full-go.’

Langford, who suffered a devastating ankle injury during the previous season which took him out for the season, will start full workouts in less than 2 weeks. This is a super encouraging bit of news from Izzo. We weren’t exactly sure when this news would break, or when Langford would be back close to 100%. If they are letting him start workouts this summer, it should lead to a Langford that is back near his old self.
