Tom Holland has been injured on the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, reportedly suffering a mild concussion while filming a stunt.

Several Hollywood trades including the Hollywood Reporter, Deadline and Variety separately confirmed the incident, which happened on set at Leavesden Studios in Watford in the UK on Friday.

Holland was reportedly injured while performing a stunt and left with a mild concussion after hitting his head.

The 29-year-old was then taken to hospital. Nobody else was injured, Variety reported.

The Sun reported Holland attended a charity dinner the next night with his father, Dominic, and his fiancee and co-star Zendaya, but left early after feeling ill.

Filming was suspended on Friday after the incident and Holland will now take a break from filming for several days as a precaution. In the meantime Sony Pictures, which is coproducing the movie with Marvel Studios, will meet on Monday to decide how to move forward with the production, the Hollywood Reporter said.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to be released in July 2026 and marks Holland’s fourth leading turn as Spidey, after 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, 2019’s Spider-Man: Far From Home and 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Holland’s co-stars Zendaya and Jacob Batalon are returning, as is Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner (AKA the Hulk), Jon Bernthal as the Punisher and Michael Mando as the Scorpion. New names joining the franchise in Brand New Day include The Bear actor Liza Colón-Zayas, Severance actor Tramell Tillman and Stranger Things actor Sadie Sink.
