Tom Holland has revealed that he is no longer contracted to play Peter Parker after Spider-Man: No Way Home.

The actor has portrayed the webslinger in two previous Spider-Man films, as well as Captain America: Civil War and two Avengers movies.

Though Holland says No Way Home, which is scheduled for release at the end of the year, is the last Spider-Man film he has agreed to star in, the actor expressed a willingness to do more in the future.

Speaking to Collider, Holland said:“[No Way Home] would be my last one [under contract]... I’ve always said to them if they want me back I’ll be there in a heartbeat.

“If they want me back I’ll be there, if they don’t I will walk off into the sunset a very, very happy person because it’s been an amazing journey.”

Actors who feature in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) are typically signed on to multi-film deals, though some have continued to appear in the franchise after their original deals were completed.

No Way Home is set to be released in cinemas on 17 December 2021.
