Tom Hardy's new film Havoc is being shot in Cardiff

Hollywood star Tom Hardy is set to start shooting his new movie in Cardiff later this month and you could be in it.

The film's called Havoc and it tells the tale of a drug deal gone wrong and a detective who has to battle his way through the criminal underworld to rescue the estranged son of a leading politician.

In doing so he also unveils a web of corruption that goes right to the top.

The film, which will air on Netflix, is being directed by Gareth Evans, the Aberdare filmmaker behind the acclaimed bone-crunching martial arts thrillers The Raid and Raid 2, the Michael Sheen horror Apostle and, most recently, Sky Atlantic's Gangs of London.

And now casting company Mad Dog 2020 is calling for extras - or background artists - to star in certain scenes to be shot in the capital soon.

"We are currently specifically seeking those of East Asian heritage for some scenes due to be filmed in Cardiff," read the shout out.

"Any martial arts experience is great for this production."

Filming will last from May to October and pay rates are yet to be confirmed.

However, interested parties should download the app at maddog2020casting.com, fill out the profile request as detailed as possible and add a few good photos of themselves.

Those who are suitable for potential roles will be contacted in due course.
