Tom Hanks Reveals His Least Favorite Acting Role On The Love Boat

Tom Hanks admits there's one role he hopes he won't be remembered for

Tom Hanks, a renowned actor with a vast array of iconic film roles under his belt, recently shared insights into his career and personal life during an episode of Last Meals on the YouTube channel Mythical Kitchen. In the episode, celebrities discuss what their last meal would be if they were facing imminent death.

During the show, Hanks revealed his elaborate last meal choices, which included challah bread French toast, an In-N-Out Double-Double burger with a Diet Coke, a Greek salad with calamari and avocado, El Cholo’s Taste of History platter, and a white chocolate coconut Bundt cake.

While enjoying his meal, Hanks reflected on his battle with COVID-19 in 2020, emphasizing that he never feared for his life during that challenging time. He expressed gratitude for the care he received and his optimism for recovery.

However, when asked about the one acting job he least wanted to be remembered for, Hanks humorously mentioned his appearance on The Love Boat in 1980. He acknowledged the collaborative effort that goes into every project and playfully singled out this particular role.

On The Love Boat, Hanks portrayed a character named Rick Martin in the first episode of season four, titled “Sergeant Bull/Friends and Lovers/Miss Mother.” The Love Boat, a popular TV series in the 70s and 80s, centered around the crew of the cruise ship Pacific Princess and their various adventures.

Despite his lighthearted remarks about The Love Boat, Hanks emphasized his respect for the filmmaking process and the dedication of everyone involved in creating memorable cinematic experiences.
