Tom Daley models impressive GB knitwear he put together watching Olympic games

Tom Daley has unveiled the incredible results of all the knitting he did at the Tokyo Olympics 2020.

The diver, who won a gold medal at the games, spent his free time knitting, and he's now shown off the incredible white cardigan he created.

His cardi features the Union Jack, the Team GB logo and the Olympic rings on the back, with "GBR" on one arm and the flag on the other.

On the left breast of the cardigan is Tokyo, written in Hiragana.

Tom, 27, shared a video of himself showing off the cardigan, which he wore with a white Team GB t-shirt and a pair of blue shorts.

"So I finished the jumper and here we are," Tom said in the video. "It's very bright right now."

Pointing to the front of the cardigan, he said: "This says Tokyo, we've got GBR, we've got Union Jack."

Turning around to reveal the back, he went on: "And Team GB. Thoughts and opinions please, but be nice."

"OLYMPIC CARDIGAN REVEAL!" Tom captioned the video, adding the Japanese and British flags and a flame emoji.

"When I got to Tokyo, I wanted to make something that would remind me of these games.

"Something that I could say I had made in Tokyo, during the Olympics!

"I did a @teamgb logo on the back, with a flag and GBR on the shoulders and Tokyo embroidered onto the front! What do you think?!"

His followers were wowed by his creation, with one writing: "I've been knitting for many years, and still I wouldn't be able to make that! Especially the intricate writing. You're a legend! It's so beautiful."

"This is the Olympic content I’ve been waiting for," another commented.

A third said: "Incredible. Such a thoughtful and great way to remember this special time in your life!"

"He's so precious I swear. Love the cardigan it's like the best thing I've seen," another fan agreed.

Tom kept himself busy during the Olympic events by knitting, admitting that it "kept him sane".

Tom later told his Instagram followers: "I thought I would come on here to just say the one thing that has kept me sane through this whole process is my love for knitting and crocheting and stitching."

Last week Tom and his diving partner Matty Lee won gold in the 10m synchronised diving.

Tom, who had already won two Bronze medals, cried tears of joy and hugged Matty after it was announced that they'd won.
