Tom Cruise 'rents £500k ship for Mission Impossible stars to film on during COVID-19'

Tom Cruise has reportedly splashed out £500,000 on a boat for the Mission Impossible crew to film on.

Mission Impossible had to stop filming in Venice, Italy in February when the coronavirus pandemic had begun to sweep the globe.

Claims surfaced the 58-year-old leading actor - who has an estimated worth of $570million (£424million) - picked up the £500k bill to continue filming on The Hurtigruten ship.

The Hurtigruten ship has been stationed off the coast of Norway where cameras have been rolling for filming.

Hurtigruten reportedly confirmed they had rented out two of their ships until September to Truenorth - the company working on the seventh Mission Impossible movie.

The boats - MS Vesterålen and MS Fridtjof Nansen - have been lent to the production company from the end of August until the end of September, according to Norway Today.

The Mirror has approached Tom Cruise's representatives for further comment.

Delays have continued to hamper the seventh instalment of Mission Impossible.

It's expected out in November next year.

Coronavirus wreaked havoc on Hollywood as all filming was brought to a grinding halt earlier this year.

Once filming got up and running again, the Hollywood movie suffered more delays after a motorbike caught fire on the £2million set.

It's believed the seventh instalment of the movie may not return to the big screen before 2022 now.
