Tom Cruise leads celebs at Wimbledon as William and Kate also make appearance

Tom Cruise led a list of Hollywood stars and their famous friends as they swapped centre stage for centre court to soak up the action at this year's iconic tennis event.

A-listers were joined by the royals, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, attending Saturday's Wimbledon tournament which has now reached it's 12th day.

Opera star Katherine Jenkins and chart-topper Lulu were spotted heading to the South London courts but unlike the players who have to stick to a strict white dress code - the stars dressed to impress with a colorful and chic display for sitting on the sidelines.

The Mission Impossible star, 59, went 'suited and booted' and looked sophisticated in a blue three-piece, crisp white shirt and gold tie and attended with co-star Hayley Atwell, 39, who wore a maxi dress teamed with a smart cream coat draped over her shoulders.

Opera singer Katherine opted for a English summer vibe for attending the historic sporting fixture and wore a pretty blue floral dress with nude strappy heels, as as she strolled with her film producer husband Andrew Levitas.

But hit-maker Lulu was keen to add a splash of colour to South London's drizzly wet weather as she wore a bold orange blazer with white ensemble underneath.

All stars looked in good spirits attending the competition for the women's final, and men's and women's doubles final on the penultimate day of the tournament.

Film legend Dame Maggie Smith, 86, arrived for the Ladies final in a chic coral blazer, which she matched with a navy top and trousers.

Government's top-brass also attended the event with Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Oliver Dowden, 42, was also in attendance at the sporting event.

The Good Life actress Dame Penelope Keith, 81, was also spotted sporting a beige pin-striped trouser suit which she matched with a wide-brimmed hat, as she made her way inside Wimbledon's iconic grounds.

The stars would be eager to get their seats for the SW19 showdown of top seed Ashleigh Barty taking on Karolina Pliskova.

Australian Barty, 25, is looking to pick up her first Wimbledon trophy and world No 13 Pliskovam, 29, is looking for her maiden Grand Slam title.

Last year, the tennis championships were cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic - the first time the event had not taken place since World War II.
