Everton youngster Tom Cannon has taken to social media after making his senior debut in his side’s Carabao Cup defeat to Bournemouth on Tuesday night.
Blues boss Frank Lampard made 11 changes to his side, with the Blues losing 4-1 to a team with nine alterations from the weekend. Cannon was named on the bench.
The Cherries led via Jamal Lowe's deflected shot before Junior Stanislas added a second two minutes into the second-half. Substitute Demarai Gray then pulled one back for Everton.

But Gray’s effort with 23 minutes remaining was then cancelled out by Emiliano Marcondes before Jaidon Anthony secured Bournemouth's place in the last-16 eight minutes from time.
However, nine minutes from time and Aintree-born Cannon was given his big moment by Lampard. The forward replaced Neal Maupay in a straight swap.
Cannon impressed in his first season as a fully-fledged Everton under-23 player last season, scoring eight goals in 23 appearances to finish as the team's leading marksman.
The 19-year-old joined Everton’s Academy aged 10 and signed a new three-year deal with the club until June 2025 back in August. He has scored nine times in 14 appearances so far this season.
And reacting to his senior debut at the Vitality Stadium, Cannon wrote on Twitter: “Proud moment for me and my family last night making my debut for @Everton.”
Speaking ahead of the tie, Lampard praised Cannon and team-mates Stanley Mills and Reece Welch, saying: “My intention is to get some young lads on the bench for the game, to have a feel of being part of it and to see if we can get them on the pitch.
“I'd like to think we’d have two, three, four on the bench, but I can’t guarantee that until we have a squad count up.
“Stanley has been doing really well, scoring regularly, playing well, and developing really well, so it’s nice to give players like that the opportunity when they come around.
“(Tom) Cannon is another one doing well. Reece Welch is there, too, so we will see how it works.”
