Fulham have offered a new contract to captain Tom Cairney.

The Cottagers announced their retained and released list on Wednesday, revealing that Willian and Carlos Vinicius are leaving as free agents this summer when their deals expire.

Cairney and right-back Kenny Tete have been offered new contracts to extend their stay at Craven Cottage, but neither player has yet signed the proposed deals.

Speaking after Fulham’s final game of the season against Manchester City, Cairney admitted in an interview: “We’ll see what happens.

“We are still in talks, so it’s a weird feeling right now. I don’t know which way to go about it, obviously I want to thank a few people, but at the same time, we’re still in talks.”

Cairney has played more 350 games and scored 47 goals in a decade at Fulham since moving to Craven Cottage from Blackburn in 2015.

The 34-year-old has a lucrative offer from Wrexham and is understood to be considering his options, with game time at Fulham set to be limited again next season if he signed a new deal.

Willian, who turns 37 in August, left Fulham in 2024 to join Olympiacos but ripped up his contract in Greece in December and rejoined Fulham on a six-month contract in February.

Fulham hope Tete will sign a new deal but risk losing the right-back for free if he does not.

New contracts have also been offered to youngsters Luc De Fougerolles, Callum Osmand and Lemar Gordon but none have signed on yet.

A list of 13 players who will exit Fulham this season includes Willian and also Brazilian striker Vinicius.
