Tom Brady welcomes Eli Manning to Twitter by roasting him

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady burned retired quarterback Eli Manning after he joined Twitter this weekend. But Brady actually roasted himself in the process, too.

When the former New York Giants star made a Twitter account, he posted a video from the movie “Hoosiers” of Jimmy Chitwood hitting the game-winning shot in the fourth quarter. To that, Brady responded: “In typical fashion, you never showed up until the 4th quarter anyway.”

Indeed, Manning and Brady faced off in two Super Bowls. In each of them, Manning made a sensational fourth-quarterback play — the David Tyree catch and the Mario Manningham catch — in order to beat Brady and the Patriots. Maybe Brady is digging at Manning for otherwise struggling in those games. Still, Manning did win those games.

It’s always fun to see athletes playfully going back and forth on Twitter.
