Tom Brady’s shirtless combine photo is always funny. It will never be not funny. But it seems the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback doesn’t love being the target of a recurring, low-hanging fruit joke.
Retired receiver Julian Edelman, for example, dusted off the image and photoshopped himself onto Brady’s body to draw some laughs on the day of the 2021 NFL draft. It’s just too easy. CBS Sports tweeted it out, too. The NFL draft just seems like a good time for it to make rounds.
Brady, a former 199th overall pick, didn’t always look the part of the greatest overall pick of all time. That’s what makes him such a fascinating character. That’s what makes the photo so wild. But alas, the quarterback is tired of seeing the image of him as a draft prospect.

Look, Tom, if you didn’t have a miraculous amount of success following that picture, no one would’ve dredged it up in the first place. When you’re the greatest quarterback to ever play the game, forgive the general public for knocking you down a peg on the rare occasion it’s possible.
