Tom Brady took a Super Bowl victory lap on Twitter with a montage of bad takes

When Tom Brady announced he was leaving the New England Patriots to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the entire goal for Brady was to win a seventh Super Bowl ring.

He joked about Tyreek Hill’s seven-ring aspirations before the season even started. He even considered changing his number to seven before Chris Godwin gave him the No. 12 jersey.

But as Brady chased (and eventually won) that seventh Super Bowl title, there was plenty of doubt about the 43-year-old’s abilities, particularly when the Bucs lost three of four games before the bye week.

Well, Brady was certainly listening to all that criticism. He saved the receipts.

With just over a week in the books since that 31-9 win over the Chiefs in Super Bowl LV, Brady took to Twitter and posted a victory lap full of cold takes from talking heads.

There was, of course, Max Kellerman’s “off a cliff” take from 2016 in there — though Kellerman has somewhat owned that L. And there was a great deal of new criticism from the past season in the video with all of it aging poorly.

When you win seven Super Bowl titles, you’re allowed to take some joy in everyone being wrong.
