LAS VEGAS — Maybe Tom Brady is just being a little greedy. He certainly isn't needy when it comes to passing targets.
Brady completed 33-of-45 for 369 yards and four touchdowns to as many receivers while running for another score in the Bucs' 45-20 win over the Raiders on Sunday. His final throw, a 1-yard toss to Tyler Johnson, helped Brady pass the Saints' Drew Brees for most all-time passing touchdowns with 559.
Two days after the Bucs signed troubled but talented receiver Antonio Brown at Brady's request, the guy who might see his playing time reduced had quite a day.
Scotty Miller led the Bucs with six catches for 109 yards, including a 33-yard touchdown to complete a perfect two-minute drive at the end of the first half.
The Raiders trailed 24-10 at halftime but made it a one-score game before Brady went to work, throwing his third touchdown, this one to Chris Godwin.
Rookie Antoine Winfield then intercepted Derek Carr, and Ronald Jones made the Raiders pay with his fourth touchdown run of the season.
The victory improved the Bucs to 5-2 heading into the Nov. 2 Monday night game against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium.
Raiders coach Jon Gruden, playing his former team for the first time, reached into his bag of tricks early, wanting to keep Brady on the sideline in the first half.
On fourth and 1 from the Raiders' 34-yard line, he faked a punt with a direct snap to safety Jeff Heath picking up a first down. In fact, the Raiders led 10-7 on Daniel Carlson's 42-yard field goal.
But Brady directed drives of 85 and 88 yards like a maestro. In fact, the two-minute drill before halftime was vintage Brady. Using the clock to perfection, Brady and the Bucs took over at their own 12-yard line with 2:19 remaining.
He checked the ball down to his running backs, he converted a fourth and 2 at the Raiders' 41-yard line with a quick throw to Godwin. He spiked the football to kill the clock.
But it was his perfect 33-yard pass to Miller that was arguably his best throw of the season.
Miller had a step on Raiders cornerback Nevin Lawson, who was victimized by Rob Gronkowsi for a touchdown on a fade route earlier.
All he had to do is track the ball and Brad laid it perfectly in his hands for a touchdown with 17 seconds remaining in the first half.
Aside from allowing the Raiders to drive for a touchdown on their first possession of the game, the Bucs defense kept Carr in check.
Linebacker Devin White had two sacks of Carr in the first half and cornerbacks Carlton Davis and Jamel Dean, made plays on the ball.
Nelson Agholor, a Berkeley Prep alumnus, had 107 yards and a touchdown on five catches for the Raiders.
