Tom Brady, TE Matt LaCosse limited for Patriots practice in Week 3

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (calf) was listed as limited on the injury report for practice on Thursday for the second straight day.

Linebacker Shilique Calhoun (non-football reason) and fullback James Develin (neck) missed their second consecutive practice while Brady, offensive lineman Caleb Benenoch (calf), tackle Marcus Cannon (shoulder) and tight end Matt LaCosse (ankle) were limited participants. Running back Brandon Bolden (hamstring) remains on the injury report, despite being a full participant in both practices this week.

The extent of Brady’s injury is unclear. Neither he nor coach Bill Belichick have spoken to the media since Brady appeared on the injury report. The Boston Herald reported the calf issue isn’t anything to worry about.

The Patriots are slated to play the New York Jets in Week 3 on Sunday at 1 p.m.
