New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has noticed a potentially eery historical repeat in progress. In 2014, the Patriots took an embarrassing loss to the Chiefs before New England got right in a blowout win over the Cincinnati Bengals. And perhaps the Patriots are poised to do the same in 2019, with a tough loss to Kansas City in Week 14 and a matchup against Cincinnati for Week 15.
In 2014, New England won the Super Bowl. And Bill Belichick’s “on to Cincinnati” press conference became a turning point.
On Monday, Brady resurrected the phrase on social media. Can the 2019 Patriots rekindle that magic?
The biggest difference, of course, was that the Patriots’ get-right game came early in the season against the Bengals. Still, Brady said what everyone was thinking.
