TAMPA, Fla. — Tom Brady can cross another Tampa Bay experience off his bucket list. The Bucs quarterback made an appearance at Amalie Arena on Thursday night for the Lightning’s game against the Blue Jackets.
In a luxury suite, he posed for a photo with Lightning owner Jeff Vinik and family.
Brady, 43, has been making the rounds of late following surgery on his left knee about two months ago. He spent time in South Florida on Sunday cheering on Inter Miami — co-owned by his friend David Beckham — in its Major League Soccer season opener against the LA Galaxy. He then flew back to Tampa and went to Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor for the Arians Family Foundation dinner and concert that evening.
Brady isn’t the first Bucs player to show some hometown support at Amalie Arena this offseason. In March, linebacker Shaquil Barrett brought the Lombardi Trophy for winning Super Bowl 55 to a Lightning-Blackhawks game. On Wednesday, receivers Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Justin Watson brought the trophy to the Raptors-Nets game.
After the Lightning won the Stanley Cup in September, the team celebrated at Raymond James Stadium following its boat parade. On Oct. 4, a group of players also took the Cup to the Bucs’ game against the Chargers.
