If we see nothing else at The Match, a celebrity golf event, we’ll definitely see aggressive play off the tee. The round features pairings of Phil Mickelson and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady against Bryson DeChambeau and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
We all know DeChambeau is going to swing the club like he’s trying to hit a home run. But it sounds like his opponents, Brady and Mickelson, have every intention of hitting bombs with their drivers.
Brady shared a video, which Mickelson supposedly sent to the Bucs’ QB at 3 a.m. It’s clearly a cutup of a video Mickelson posted on the morning before competing in The Masters in 2019.
“Being aggressive. Hitting bombs,” Mickelson said in the video. “Why is that important? Well, because you’ve got to hit bombs off the tee. And that’s what I’m going to do today: hit bombs.”
