Tom Brady is officially moving on.
The future Hall of Fame quarterback posted his goodbyes to Patriots fans on social media Tuesday morning, revealing his appreciation for building a dynasty in Foxborough.
"I wanted to say thank you to all of the incredible fans and Patriots supporters," Brady wrote on Instagram. "MA has been my home for twenty years. It has truly been the happiest two decades I could have envisioned in my life and I have nothing but love and gratitude for my time in New England."
The six-time Super Bowl champion made it clear that "my football journey will take place elsewhere" without revealing his next destination. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Los Angeles Chargers appear to be the front runner at the start of the second day of the NFL's legal tampering period.
"I don't know what my football future holds," the 42-year-old Brady wrote, "But it is time for me to open a new stage for my life and career."
The Dolphins don't appear to be in the mix for Brady's services, which is music to the Jets' ears. Brady and Belichick ruled the AFC East for the better part of two decades. Now, the Evil Empire's stranglehold on the division appears over.
