As an Ohio State football player, Dwayne Haskins was undefeated against the That School Up North. But he’s not the only one that noticed Former Michigan alum Tom Brady reminded him of it when the two battled this past weekend.
Although the Washington Redskins held an early lead against the New England Patriots, the two teams were really no match for each other. New England ended winning the game 33-7.
While Haskins failed to see the field after the Redskins opted to start former Texas Longhorns’ star Colt McCoy, he did meet up with Tom Brady following the game.
The one many considered the greatest of all time had a few words for the rookie quarterback and reminded Haskins of his winning ways against his alum — at least according to a Tweet by the former Buckeye quarterback.
Haskins didn’t hold back the praise for Brady either, thanking him for “setting the standard for QB play.”
As for Haskins’ play against the Wolverines, in his one notable start, the first-round pick racked up six touchdowns en route to a 23-point victory. But we can’t forget the 2017 matchup in Ann Arbor when Haskins came in for an injured J.T. Barrett and engineered a comeback.
Haskins’ professional career hasn’t been quite as successful though. In his only snaps, he completed nine passes on 17 attempts, throwing three interceptions as well in that atrocious Week 4 showing.
There’s potential and still a bright future ahead of Haskins. Hopefully, he can learn from TTUN’s legendary quarterback after chatting for a brief moment.
