Tom Brady reiterates uncertainty ahead of looming free agency decision

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady continues to be non-committal about where he’s going to play in 2020.

Brady is slated to enter free agency in March when the new league year begins, but he can renegotiate an extension with the Patriots before free agency opens (and, of course, in free agency). If he makes it to free agency, he can shop himself to teams to find the best fit, whether in New England or elsewhere. Considering the enormity of the decision, Brady has faced multiple questions about his future during the 2019 season and the 2020 offseason. But he has continued to say very little about his looming decision.

“It’s only been a couple of weeks and I have had a lot of time with my family the last couple weeks just decompressing from the season,” Brady told Jim Gray on Westwood One radio on Sunday. “Like I said earlier, I am open-minded about the process and at the same time I love playing football and want to continue to play and do a great job. I am looking to what is ahead. Whatever the future may bring, I will embrace it with open arms. In the meantime, I am going to watch these two games as a fan and enjoy them from my couch.”
