Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady shared a quick thought on Twitter about making a return to Gillette Stadium to play against Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots.
The NFL released its schedule on Wednesday night, and the calendar has Brady and Belichick (and the Patriots and the Buccaneers) matched up in Week 4. Brady made an analogy on how he might feel.
“It’s like when your high school friends meet your college friends,” Brady wrote on Twitter on Thursday.
That might be underplaying the matchup — just a little. Brady’s father went on Boston sports radio on Thursday to talk some trash about how he expected the Buccaneers to beat the Patriots handily. So there should be plenty of competitive spirit.
