Tom Brady posts response to Patriots’ home opener invite

Tom Brady will be returning to Foxboro for the New England Patriots’ home opening game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Patriots owner Robert Kraft announced on Thursday the team plans to honor Brady for his contributions to the organization. And there are plenty of them.

Brady was drafted by the Patriots with the 199th pick of the 2000 NFL draft. There wasn’t even a certainty he’d make it as a backup in the league, but he forged a path as the greatest player of all time by winning seven Super Bowls, including six with New England.

For nearly two decades, the Patriots were the class of the NFL with Brady at quarterback. So it only makes sense for him to be honored in at least some capacity.

He commented on a post regarding his season-opening return to New England on Instagram.

There’s still hope that Brady will sign a one-day contract to eventually retire with the Patriots. Kraft noted that the home opening ceremony was the beginning of “many celebrations” for Brady.

Tampa Bay might have been a fun three-year stint, but when it comes to Brady, New England is forever.
