Tom Brady, Peyton Manning wrote letters to HOF committee on behalf of Ty Law

On the latest episode of his podcast, ESPN’s Adam Schefter was joined by 2019 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Ty Law.

During their conversation, Schefter mentioned that Patriots quarterback Tom Brady had sent a letter of recommendation to the Hall of Fame Selection Committee on behalf of the former Patriots cornerback. While Brady’s letter has been getting the publicity, there’s another player who wrote one as well.

Law said on the podcast that former Colts and Broncos QB Peyton Manning also wrote a letter to the Selection Committee on his behalf

“When you get great quarterbacks and you can’t question their greatness and the careers that they’ve had, and they feel that I’m worthy (of the Hall of Fame), that’s awesome,” Law said on the podcast.

There is no better stamp of approval than getting letters of recommendation from Brady and Manning, who are not only two of the greatest ever, but also class acts.

It’s hard to know how much their notes to the committee weighed in the decision to induct Law in 2019. But it is nevertheless a really cool story.
