Tom Brady jokingly got Patriots fans’ hopes up about a Rob Gronkowski comeback

The New England Patriots don’t necessarily need the services of retired Rob Gronkowski, but it couldn’t hurt to throw a future Hall of Fame tight end into the mix.

In the meantime, though, Tom Brady is fine with keeping the comeback rumors a running joke for the 2019 Patriots season.

It happened again on Thursday.

Gronk’s brother and former NFL fullback Chris Gronkowski took to Twitter to announce a partnership with Brady’s TB12 and promote a shaker bottle. That was enough to cause a mini-panic among Patriots fans.

It just wasn’t the reunion Patriots fans had hoped for.
