Tom Brady healthy; Marshall Newhouse downgraded at Patriots practice in Week 3

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was removed from the injury report for practice on Thursday during Week 4 ahead of the team’s matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

Tackle Marshall Newhouse (illness) was the lone non-participant. He was downgraded from limited on Wednesday. Guard Joe Thuney (shoulder) was upgraded from limited to full participation.

Receiver Julian Edelman (chest), linebacker Dont’a Hightower, defensive end Michael Bennett (shoulder), running back Rex Burkhead (foot), Nate Ebner (groin) and tight ends Ryan Izzo (calf) and Matt LaCosse (ankle) were limited.

The Patriots’ tackle situation is looking somewhat problematic, as Newhouse was projected to start at left tackle for New England. Without him, they may have to turn to Korey Cunningham, who played some left tackle for the Arizona Cardinals in 2018, his rookie season after going undrafted. The position is already thin after starting left tackle Isaiah Wynn went on injured reserve after suffering a toe injury in Week 2.
