New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady knew he wasn’t supposed to use a running play, but he checked into one anyway. And then he paid for it.
In a team drill during training camp practice on Sunday, Brady handed off the ball to running back James White. It seems so harmless, right? But Bill Belichick came storming into the mix and screamed a few expletives at Brady, clearly displeased with the fact that Brady ignored the rules of the drill. (Bray ran the ball when the offense wasn’t allowed to.) Linebacker Kyle Van Noy joined the conversation, and playfully scolded Brady for electing to run the ball.
Brady, meanwhile, threw up his arms, clearly displeased at his coach. After 20 years together, they certainly know. how to push each other’s buttons.
