Tom Brady cracks joke about ‘brave’ reporter who asked Bill Belichick viral question

Bill Belichick was not happy after the New England Patriots’ second consecutive loss.

The Patriots lost 33-21 to the Buffalo Bills at home in Week 16, pushing them out of first place in the AFC East. Mac Jones struggled to produce much offense and the defense allowed Isaiah McKenzie to record 11 catches for 125 yards and a touchdown.

None of this context stopped a reporter from diverting the conversation from football questions and asking Belichick about his New Year’s resolutions. Belichick responded in disbelief and with an extremely unenthusiastic facial expression.

“Yeah, no, not right now,” Belichick said. “Maybe next week.”

Tom Brady was asked about the moment during his “Let’s Go!” podcast with Jim Gray, and he had a hilariously accurate response.

“I want to be as brave and courageous as she was asking that question to coach Belichick after a loss. That’s what I want for the new year,” Brady said.

Belichick and the Patriots are looking to work themselves out of a losing streak with the Jacksonville Jaguars up next.
