Tom Brady celebrates his draft-day anniversary with self-deprecating humor

Tom Brady isn’t afraid to laugh at himself.

The New England Patriots quarterback celebrated the anniversary of his selection in the 2000 NFL draft by sharing the famous photo of him at the NFL combine when his frame wasn’t exactly impressive. Brady laughed off the unflattering photo and thanked everyone who’s helped him prove the Patriots right for taking a shot on him at No. 199 overall.

And they were certainly smart (and lucky) to do so. With the help of Bill Belichick, Brady has led New England to six Super Bowl wins and nine appearances.
