Tom Brady’s had his mind set on playing past the age of 45 for the past few years.
The 43-year-old will turn 44 at the start of the 2021 season, but his Super Bowl victory with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season proved he isn’t slowing down in terms of productivity. Brady threw 40 touchdowns over the course of last season with a new team and he defeated four teams in the playoffs to secure the Super Bowl LV win — his seventh total.
Brady originally signed a two-year deal with the Buccaneers and this is his final season on contract. Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht discussed a potential contract extension that both parties are reportedly working toward.
On Saturday, ESPN’s Josina Anderson said that Brady and the Buccaneers are engaged in talks toward reworking his contract.

Brady’s laundry list of accomplishments is enough to secure the GOAT title in the NFL, but he clearly isn’t willing to slow down and give anyone else a chance to enter that discussion.
