Tom Brady becomes oldest player to score multiple rushing TDs in an NFL game

Tom Brady added another victory to his mark as starting quarterback for the New England Patriots on Thursday. He also added to his accomplishments.

Brady rushed for a pair of TDs on quarterback sneaks. He had run for multiple touchdowns twice before. He last did it on Dec. 24, 2011, when he had 9 rushing attempts in a 27-24 Patriots victory over the Miami Dolphins.

In doing so, he became the oldest player in NFL history to score multiple rushing TDs in a game, topping the mark set by another quarterback with Boston roots.

He also equaled Jerry Rice’s mark of being the oldest player to score a TD in the league. Rice scored his final TD on Dec. 2004,  a 12-yard reception from Matt Hasselbeck as a Seattle Seahawk against the Jets. That puts them both at a spry 15,408 days of age.

Brady posted on Instagram he knows is thinking about accomplishing something he has yet to do.

For good measure, the G.O.A.T. also surpassed Peyton Manning on the NFL’s all-time passing yardage list.
