Tom Brady beats the NFL in ball controversy

US District Court Judge Richard Berman struck down Tom Brady's four-game suspension on Thursday for his role in the Deflategate scandal.

The decision came after Brady and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell failed to reach a settlement on Monday.

Deadspin reported that Judge Berman ruled that the NFL didn’t inform Brady of his punishment or violations, didn’t allow him to question opposing counsel and didn’t give him the opportunity to examine evidence against him.

Brady will now be able to suit up for the NFL season opener on Thursday 10 September when the Patriots, the defending Super Bowl Champions, host the Pittsburgh Steelers in Foxborough, New England.
